Stick bag
I am a percussionist who prefers the marimba, which is code for "the minimum requirements for me to own my instrument are $10,000 and a soundproof basement." So I can't make a nice instrument page, but I can show all the stuff I use to hit things!
Sticks
- Vic Firth Buddy Rich - I'm not much of a drummer so I use these for basically everything. They're hickory 5As with a little extra size and weight, so they don't feel as flimsy as normal 5As, and the rebound is great!
- Promark Jeff Ausdemore marching - I just use these when I need to make a lot of noise
Keyboard mallets
- Innovative Percussion IP1003 - Hard marching mallets that I still use for general purpose because they carry well in concert band without being annoying
- Vic Firth M6 - Hard plastic that you can hear for miles! They can only play one dynamic, loud.
- Hand-wrapped Vic Firth M3 cores - I frayed the yarn on all these, so I rewrapped them myself. They're a little on the soft side now so they don't have a lot of uses in a full band, but they're purple!
Timpani mallets
- Vic Firth T6 - VERY fluffy and VERY boomy heads. These are what you would use to play the opening of Also Sprach Zarathustra.
- Promark PST5 Ultra Staccato - The opposite of the T6 mallets. Tiny and very articulate
